ART ASK LAB is an original educational format created as part of the ART ASK project, combining the functions of a research laboratory and an idea incubator within the field of contemporary art education. It was conceived as a space for collective experimentation, reflection, and the testing of alternative learning models—beyond rigid institutional frameworks and hierarchical knowledge structures.

The first in-person edition of ART ASK LAB took place on December 16 in Warsaw, at the Warsaw Observatory of Culture. Participants were invited from fields situated at the intersection of visual arts, choreography, ecological reflection, and art education.

Together with the LAB’s curator, Dr Marta Jarnuszkiewicz, and the invited speakers—Maria Stokłosa, Anka Wandzel, and Karolina Żyniewicz—participants engaged with themes of interdisciplinarity, mobility, embodied research, and ecological narratives.

The ART ASK LAB programme included lectures,
a workshop focused on the transformation of matter,
a panel discussion, and a collective board game designed
by Marta Jarnuszkiewicz, which concluded the day with a reflection on the future of art education.

The individual components of the programme formed
a coherent structure grounded in experience, dialogue,
and the practice of being in-between disciplines, media,
and perspectives.

ART ASK LAB was funded under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) with resources from the European Union – NextGenerationEU, as part of investment A2.5.1 “Programme supporting the activities of entities in the cultural sector and creative industries to stimulate their development.”
